20th Anniversary Dinner party

By Duane Ausherman

July 8th, 2006 was the dinner party to honor the anniversary.  Here are a few of the many photos taken of the dinner party.

As with any event of this nature, many people volunteered a lot of time to make it happen.  We would like to give some credit to those that did so much.  Many others helped behind the scenes too.

This photo shows the California Old Time Fiddlers and 12 year old Paul in the red shirt on the porch of the house at the McFarland Ranch in Galt, California

The California Old Time Fiddlers provided great entertainment.

The peaceful view of the afternoon set up for the party later at the McFarland Living History Ranch.

The set up was done in the heat of the afternoon and it looked so peaceful.

This motley crew is from the Knights of Columbus # 9836, at St. Christopher's in Galt.  l. to r.  Nick Neuburger, Jack Kasper, Joe Schaffhausen and John Bordie the Grandknight.  They are behind the barrels of cooking steaks.  Great job, thanks.

Ted is slicing up the steaks for the main dish at the twentieth anniversary party for the Galt Area Historical Society at the McFarland Living History Ranch.

The wonderful Tri-tip steak was sliced by Ted Melhaff.

This shows the wonderful young servers for the dinner.

These student from Boy Scouts, FFA and member's family were wonderful servers.  (l. to r.) Eric Leddy, Shane  McCutcheon, Chis Leddy, Josh O'Hara, Andrea Hanchey, Samantha Hanchey, Brandon Denier, Kathryn Salfen, Jessica Chamberlain, Ryan Denier.  Thanks for great service.

Kathryn Salfen and Jessica Chamberlain are from the Galt High School FFA chapter 94. They were serving dinner and drinks in those very warm FFA jackets on a hot day.

From the FFA # 94 at Galt High School were (l. to r.) Kathryn Salfen (17) and Jessica Chamberlain (16).  They were so dedicated and proud to wear the FFA jacket in the sweltering heat.  Those smiles seemed to last the whole evening.

This shows one of many local families. Erma is the great grandmother of 14 year old Kristina in a lovely white dress.

Donna Beeler, Kristina Cagle (14), Erma Wyatt and our own Aderian Hutson represented Great grandmother, two sisters and the great granddaughter.  Kristina was so pretty in her summer dress.  We have many such wonderful families in the historical society.

Dave and Genie Olson prepare for a fine dinner. Genie is our matriarch.
